The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people whatever they need to have done, but cannot do at all, or cannot do so well for themselves, in their separate and individual capacities.(p.80)
When Congress met early in December, the perplexed and venerable Buchanan, fearful of secession but still sympathetic toward his Southern friends and the Southern point of view, asserted in his annual message that while a state could not lawfully secede, neither could the Federal government coerce it. He proposed to quiet Southern fears by calling a constitutional convention to frame amendments guaranteeing slavery in the states and territories, and assuring the recovery of runaway slaves.(p.228)
America, "keep your eye on the ball!"
America, I realize it's Super Bowl time or Sen. Reid is appoligizing for his comments, or something like that; but if you take your eyes off health care and the other unAmerican things the Obama administration is doing to deminish your rights. They will win. We will be working for the Chinness, or some African country, that doesn't share our ideals, our values. While I don't mind helping someone in needs, I don't want to be a slave to some debt incurred by the Obama administration and illegally bound to by some U.N. or world government agencie, that I don't agree with or even respect. I mean, the Obama administration has sign an agreement, giving interpol the right to come in the U.S. and act as a police force. Hey, they best bring the local officals with them, if they intend to arrest me. Interpol has no rights over me and I have no respect for them; I have not done anything to them and they better stay away from me.
